The shift to April primarily means only a change in the date.

Provided that the exhibitors agree to the new date, the registration and, as a rule, the current stand positions will generally remain valid. However, exhibitors must confirm their participation in the postponed date informally by e-mail by 10 December!

Deadlines, e.g. for the submission of stand construction plans and the commissioning of ancillary services, will be postponed until next year. We will publish a revised schedule on our website in the next few days.

Order confirmations and down payment invoices will be sent out in February 2022.

There are currently no ordinances or legal requirements stipulating admission requirements for events in April 2022. The conditions under which events can be held are constantly being updated.

However, it is expected that admission to FRUIT LOGISTICA will only be granted to fully vaccinated or recovered visitors:

Admission requirements for vaccinated persons:

  • Vaccinated persons must present official verification of complete vaccination (14 days after receipt of the second vaccine with a vaccine recognised by the European Union). In the case of EU residents, this proof must be digitally verifiable (QR code).
  • A list of approved vaccines can be found on the Paul Ehrlich Institute website.

Admission requirements for recovered persons:

  • Recovered persons whose COVID-19 infection was no more than six months in the past must present a positive PCR test result as well as proof of at least one vaccination with a vaccine approved by the European Union that was received at least 14 days prior. If the infection was verified at least 28 days and no more than six months prior, presentation of the positive PCR test result suffices.
  • Participants from EU countries must present digitally verifiable proof of recovery from COVID-19 at admission. Exhibitors and trade visitors from non-EU countries currently must only present official proof of their status. They do not currently require an EU certificate.

Additional requirements may apply – such as those currently applicable for January 2022 – like a booster vaccination and/or current negative test result as admission requirements for events, and the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask.

The identity of the persons named on the verifications will be checked against photo identification.

Furthermore, ticket sales and gift card redemption are conducted solely online. This ensures quick, contact-free admission to the event premises.

Exception for exhibitors:

In accordance with the current ordinance, personnel employed at events can also gain admission with a negative test instead of proof of vaccination or recovery.

We will thus give our exhibitors and their booth personnel the opportunity to participate in FRUIT LOGISTICA if the booth personnel are either vaccinated or recovered (in accordance with the aforementioned admission requirements), or are able to verify a negative test result on the date of their presence at the event.

An antigen test must be no older than 24h, and a PCR test no older than 48h. You can find test centres in Berlin at: https://map.schnelltestportal.de (as search criteria, please select Digital Covid Certificate).

The restriction to vaccinated and recovered persons currently only applies from April 5th. For the set-up and dismantling period only recovered, vaccinated or tested persons are allowed to work inside the exhibition halls. For set-up and dismantling, the obligation to wear a mouth-nose covering applies. In addition, it should be checked whether the number of people working at the same time can be reduced, so that unnecessary encounter risks can be minimized.

Possibilities for this are:

  • equalization of time
  • Formation of smaller working groups with clearly defined working areas
  • if possible, "location-fixed" assignment of personnel

All persons must also register in advance via our ticket shop for the set-up and dismantling periods (free of charge).

The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) provides an up-to-date overview of entry requirements for trade fair participants from abroad on its website.

In view of the volatile developments surrounding the corona pandemic, Messe Berlin's hygiene and safety concept is continuously reviewed and adapted.

Exhibitors and co-exhibitors are obliged to observe the hygiene and safety measures issued by Messe Berlin for the event. Further information can also be found in the Messe Berlin FAQ for visitors and exhibitors.

Exception: All exhibitors who have registered by 26 November 2021 must confirm their participation in the postponed event by 10 December 2021. Additionally, participation can also be revoked free of charge by 28 January 2022, even if the placement proposal has already been confirmed.

As in previous years, you can revoke your participation free of charge at any time before confirming our placement offer. Thereafter, item 8 of the General Terms and Conditions for Trade Fairs and Exhibitions of Messe Berlin GmbH will apply. Please inform us immediately if you wish to cancel your participation in FRUIT LOGISTICA. This will give us the opportunity to find another company for your stand space as quickly as possible.

If we as the organizer cannot hold FRUIT LOGISTICA 2022 for reasons outside our own control, we will not charge our exhibitors for their stand rental. Messe Berlin cannot pay for any other services that you may have used apart from the stand rental.

Messe Berlin GmbH's Technical Guidelines continue to apply unchanged. With access restricted to vaccinated and recovered persons, distance regulations are currently not mandatory for stand construction.

Here are a few tips for the booth:

  • Plan your trade show booth generously enough to ensure that any applicable minimum distance is maintained at all times during activities at the booth. Avoid unnecessary constrictions.
  • Top enclosed spaces are not recommended. Rooms where visitor traffic occurs should be designed to be open for adequate air exchange. At a minimum, full ventilation should be provided.
  • Plan for adequately sized lounging or visiting areas.
  • Generously design seating areas and meeting rooms.
  • We recommend providing hand disinfectants as well as disposable mouth masks at the exhibition stand.
  • Smooth wipeable surfaces are easier to clean.

At all events, Messe Berlin guarantees immediate medical care by trained staff and appropriate on-site facilities. Please refer to the hall plan of the respective event for the exact location of the medical station.

If symptoms such as cough or fever occur before visiting the trade fair, we advise all participants, exhibitors, employees and service providers not to enter the exhibition grounds and to consult a doctor immediately.

In case of an emergency on the exhibition grounds:

First aid from a doctor by telephone: +49 30 3038-2222

In case of an emergency outside the exhibition center:

  • Berlin hotline in case of suspicion of Covid-19: +49 30 90 28 28 28 8 (8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
  • Hotline "Medical on-call service": +49 116 117
  • only call the ambulance in an emergency: 112
  • Doctors on site in Berlin (most speak English)

Remember: Before visiting a medical support center, call and inform them about the suspicion of COVID-19.
