For over 20 years, the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award (FLIA) has been recognizing outstanding new products, services, and technologies in the international fresh fruit industry.

What is being recognized?
The FLIA will be presented by Messe Berlin GmbH and Fruitnet Media International GmbH. The award recognises outstanding innovations in two categories:
- Fresh Produce: New products, varieties or concepts in the field of fresh fruit and vegetables
- Technology: Technical processes, services or systems that move the industry forward
All nominated innovations will be showcased in the new Innovation Zone and presented on the Innovation Stage to an international audience of industry professionals.
Application for FLIA
Who can enter the FLIA?
The FLIA is open to eligible main exhibitors and co-exhibitors at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2027.
Your innovation must:
- have been on the market for no more than 12 months by the time of FRUIT LOGISTICA 2027,
- have been launched between November 1, 2025, and October 31, 2026.
- fit into one of the Product Group of FRUIT LOGISTICA (PDF, 299 kB), and
- demonstrate a significant level of innovation and relevance to the fresh produce industry.
The selection process
Jury nomination: An independent jury of experts reviews all submitted applications and nominates the most impressive innovations in the categories “Fresh Produce” and “Technology.”
Live voting during the event: Trade visitors can vote for their favorites online before the trade show. All nominated innovations will be presented in a special area at FRUIT LOGISTICA.
Award ceremony: The innovations with the most votes will be honored with the FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award 2027 in the categories “Fresh Produce” and “Technology” on the last day of the trade show.
What do you need to submit?
Submit your innovation conveniently using the digital registration form. For a successfull participation the following documents are required:
- Two high-resolution photos of the innovation
- Proof of commercial use
- Additional requirements depending on category:
- Category “Fresh Produce”: Product sample for evaluation
- Category “Technology”: Short video (max. 3 minutes)
Application is free of charge. Only one application per exhibitor is possible.

Take your innovation to the stage
Don't just get nominated. Make your innovation heard.
With the new Innovation Zone, the FLIA gets an additional platform in 2027. All nominees will have the opportunity to present their innovation on the Innovation Stage.
Use your pitch to show:
- What is new?
- What problem does it solve?
- What makes your innovation stand out?
- What value does it create for the industry?
The Innovation Stage brings together innovation, expertise and direct exchange with the international trade audience.

FLIA Technology
The L50 DRONE—Europe's first lidar-based agricultural spraying drone with a 50-liter capacity—from ABZ Innovation Ltd. of Hungary won the 2026 FRUIT LOGISTICA Innovation Award in the "Technology" category.
FLIA Fresh Produce
POMPUR - the world’s first ECARF-certified allergy-friendly apple puree brand - from ZIN (Züchtungsinitiative Niederelbe GmbH & Co. KG) in Germany made the biggest impression on trade visitors at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2026.
