LifeBag, the latest innovation from SMP, is good for food products and the environment. The bag is made of 100 per cent biodegradable, compostable and food-safe plastic. It can extend the shelf life of fruit and vegetables by up to four times, thereby reducing food waste. Thanks to its natural composition, it creates an ideal environment for ensuring food products remains fresh. Fruit and vegetables retain their goodness longer, which in turn contributes to a healthy diet. Fewer resources are required to produce extra food, which reduces the environmental impact. LifeBag is suitable for agricultural producers as well as wholesalers and retailers. It can be used to store mushrooms as well as peaches, lettuce and carrots.
