Pelemix is presenting a practical solution for berry cultures and flowers at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2025: plants that grow in Open Tops need no pots. The plastic containers filled with 100 per cent compressed coir fibre offer many advantages. They feature excellent drainage and support rapid root development without the need for additional pots. The plants grow directly in coir fibre, which saves labour, filling and transport costs. The compressed material is easier to ship and transport. Faster fruit growth leads to an earlier harvest. At the same time, more plants can be grown per hectare. The coir fibre in Pelemix Open Tops composts slowly over six to seven years. The bottom fibre layer acts as a filter, preventing blockages and ensuring consistent drainage.
